Burbage & Rudgley - Pay or Stay

Not checked in or looked at these guys for a while. Time for them to pay out some of the money they conned or stay inside. Not sure what my preference would be....

Boo Hoo. It looks like the end is near.

So the end is finally in sight and the main man Burbage's time selling dodgy cars is almost at an end. Well for at least few years hopefully. I wish him all the best in his new venture and hope he finds some nice friends inside that look after really well.

The Net is Closing in..........

So here we are finally the individuals who have scammed, conned and quite clearly ripped off people have and will get their day in court. Courtesy of the Daily Echo story (Below) we now know they are due back in court later this year and again next spring. Good luck guys, maybe use the money you have earned by ripping people off to pay your barrister fees. Just a thought.

Anyway I hope all you readers out there enjoy the read and we look forward to the outcome which will hopefully eb one where they will be able to cosy up with their prison mates in the future.
So here's the Southern Daily Echo Story........

A NOTORIOUS car dealer has admitted defrauding customers when selling them used vehicles.
Stan Rudgley pleaded guilty to five charges of making “dishonest representations and sales practices” in relations to five companies including Woolston Car Supermarket in Southampton.

It comes after a Daily Echo investigation found that scores of people had paid thousands of pounds to buy used cars from him, tried to return them and were never refunded.
At Southampton Crown Court the 32-year old admitted a string of offences under each of the five charges which took place over a three-year period from July 2013 to March 2016.
These include advertising vehicles on Ebay or in Autotrader with fake mileages and reducing the mileage on vehicle odometers.

A Look Back on Richard Burbage in Australia - Part 2

Lamborghini-driving businessman Richard Burbage

So after the initial success and media coverage eventually it all started to unravel for Richard down under. Courtesy of the Courier Mail in Australia read the article below about Richards disappearing act.

webuyanycar.com.au goes belly up

RICHARD Burbage has left the country. No one knows for certain where he is but plenty of people would like to find out.
The Lamborghini-driving businessman is believed to have departed to his native United Kingdom last month, just weeks before his nationwide used car empire came crashing down with debts of about $12 million.

A Look Back on Richard Burbage in Australia - Part 1

BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE: Caloundra City Autos general sales manager Richard Burbage is giving away a free car with every car purchase. Photo: Michaela O'Neill/180132

It all looked so promising in 2008 for Richard Burbage as can be seen from the article below courtesy of Sunshine Coast Daily where Richard was offering buy one get one free on cars. Please stay away from Swiftbird Ltd t/a The Van Centre Southampton.

Sunshine Coast Daily - Whoever Heard of a Free Car

"It's the car deal which is almost too good to be true. After a “very successful” liquidation sale last month, Caloundra City Autos was left with an abundance of vehicles which had been traded in.

The answer? Buy one car, get one free. It is a deal usually associated with small goods or pizza but general sales manager Richard Burbage described the five-day event as principal Doug Drinnan’s gift to the community.

“There has been a lot of bad press about GMAC (General Motors funding arm) pulling out of Australia and what that is going to do,” Mr Burbage said.

Name Change Alert!

So here are again, DeltaFlag t/a pro Motors in the decline, the eBay site gets taken off line only for it to be replaced by a very similar looking site with only a minor change to the name.

Someone then puts it out there that there is new company now active. Really, honestly, truly, surely not Richard Burbage and Stanley Rudgley, I really don't believe. Well maybe not.

So not only is there a Deltaflag Ltd  eBay site live but there is also one from a new company called Swiftbird Ltd t/a The Van Centre Southampton. Take a look at both sites, can you see any similarities.

So who are Swiftbird Ltd t/a The Van Centre Southampton? When I had a look on the Companies House website I almost fell off the chair of my dodgy car (unfortunately that car has long since gone as I was one of the Woolston Car Supermarket customers) as the Director for Swiftbird Ltd is none other than Richard Burbage himself. It looks as though he and Stan couldn't find anyone to take the next Directorship so Richard has done it himself.

On the Swiftbird Ltd eBay sight about us section Richard states "We have over 20 years experience in the motor trade and source our Vehicles from all over the country for the best commercials." That may well be the case Richard but why don't put a few testimonials on there, I'd happily volunteer for this and I'm sure I can think of a few others as well.

Please report this to eBay and get these new sites taken down and warn others about these crooks who seem to have no consideration for anyone or anything. If that's not a dodgy car salesman suit I don't know what is.

Here's a few details form the Swiftbird eBay site:

DO NOT GO NEAR THESE GUYS. TOTAL AND UTTER CROOKS

These 3 2 crooks continue to sell on eBay. Please do visit their showroom to report these dodgy dealers adverts and stop them from advertising.

http://deltaflag-ltd-ta-pro-motors.ebaymp.co.uk/

Thank you for your recent messages regarding this post. It has been amended to the fact that I have been informed that Darryl Warren is no longer party to the business venture of Stan Rudgley and Richard Burbage.

Ok, lets take stock. So back in in 2013 when Woolston Car Supermarket and Hampshire Vehicle Sales and South Coast Enterprises were undertaking their business there was a young man by the name of Ryan Overton. Now Ryan ended up being the fall guy for Hampshire Vehicle Sales and South Coast Enterprises and as such had 2 dissolved companies under his belt at the grand age of 20. All has been very quiet with regard to Ryan since so I hope he has managed to get away from the two main crooks in Richard and Stan.

Stan continued to put his name forward with Service 4 Life and Woolston Car Supermarket both of which have active proposals to strike off. The companies have had many trading names within this time until perhaps it was decided between maybe Richard (although Richard still has his name officially on any company name, probably to with Australia) and Stan they needed another fall guy.

In comes Darryl and Deltaflag Ltd to the equation. Could it be that Darryl is the next person to be caught out by these guys with the promise of quick and easy money for selling dodgy cars? That being said I do recall in Jan 2014 Stan the man distancing himself from Richard Burbage only for that to be a smoke screen so Darryl I do hope you have managed to get away from this situation you have found yourself in and that you will get yourself on the straight and narrow. I'm interested to know that if you have had nothing to do with either Richard and Stan for the last 6-7 weeks why all the same cars are for sale and it appears to be business as usual on the eBay site. I will continue to monitor Companies House in the hope that Darryl is indeed true to his word. If what you have said is true Darryl I wish you luck in putting this behind you.

Is it time on Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley's Scamming empire?

So I purchased my vehicle from these two crooks back in Nov 13, which by the way I had to sell for scrap value in the Summer of 2014.

Daily Echo: Daily Echo:

Now here we are 15 months later with the two crooks behind this ongoing and very frustrating saga having been arrested.

Southern Daily Echo Review of 2014 starring Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley

Well done Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley you made The Southern Daily Echo Echo's review of the year of the pages. Perhaps they've taken that there is no such thing as bad publicity a little to literally. Lets hope 2015 sees the ends of the two thieving crooks.

  • A PAIR of controversial car dealers who had been lying low amid a storm of complaints over defective cars and bouncing refund cheques were back in business – in the same premises as a sexy underwear shop and boutique.
Daily Echo investigation revealed that Stan Rudgley and Richard Burbage had resurfaced after closing Hampshire dealerships following fury over the cars they were selling and breaking promises to make amends.
We revealed how the pair were involved in a new online car dealership, Valley Cars – which operates from the same premises as a shop selling ladies lingerie called Ophelia’s Boutique in Botley.
The Daily Echo tried to contact Mr Rudgley about the latest developments – but instead of revealing what was going on he unleashed a torrent of abuse by email.

Car dealer Richard Burbage denies assaulting wife

Southern Daily Echo again

A CAR dealer has appeared in court accused of assaulting his wife.
Richard Burbage appeared in court briefly yesterday charged with assaulting Lorraine Burbage.
The 41-year-old spoke during the hearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court only to confirm his name, age and address, and to plead not guilty to the charge.
In court, prosecutors said that the alleged assault happened in Hedge End on November 30.
Mr Burbage, of Thyme Avenue in Whiteley, will appear for trial at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on February 27

Where are we at with Burbage and Rudgley

So where are we at with the comings and goings of Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley. Currently Service 4 Life are now trading as Stratton Cars. Viewing not surprising is by appointment only and the postcode given on their ebay site SO302HA. Number given is 01489 309019. I believe they recently called themselves Oakmount Cars which is NOT to mistaken for Oakmount Autos in Chandlers Ford which is a genuine family business and nothing to do with these two crooks.

So to clarify where I think we are up to in terms of business names. So far there have been or 3 Ltd company names in South Coast Enterprises (UK) Ltd, Woolston Car Supermarket Ltd and Service 4 Life Ltd. South Coast Enterprises (UK) Ltd has been dissolved, if you remember a young man by the name of Ryan Overton was also involved. I believe he has been used, abused and now dumped by Burbage and Rudgley. So we have Service 4 Life Ltd, currently under the Directorship of Stan Rudgley but has an active proposal to strike off. This leaves Woolston Car Supermarket Ltd which is still a live company and has as of 10 Aug 14 has a change of accounting reference date. Now I'm not too hot what all this means but is it to do with extending the accounting period to exceed 12 months. This would mean that Rudgley can submit accounts later than the 12 month point. Just a thought but I wonder if when Service 4 Life is struck off Rudgley will continue then start to use Woolston Car Supermarket Ltd.

So that's the Ltd companies which I know about, you will notice that Burbage's name is nowhere to be found on in any of these businesses, more than likely to do with the antics in Australia.

Now the trading name companies due to the fact they have to keep changing the names in order to keep on selling cars. So here we go........ Hampshire Vehicle Sales is Woolston Car Supermarket is Fort Wallington Car Sales is The Elite Car Company is Valley Cars is Oakmount Cars is Stratton Cars...... and breath. Some list!

I cannot find any of their cars on Autotrader or Guntree but here are Burbage and Rudgley's current sites:

Ebay Motors - http://service-4-life-ltd-ta-oakmount-cars.ebaymp.co.uk/ and they also have an active
Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stratton-Cars-Botley/688449204572049?ref=br_rs

Finally here's a link to Companie in the UK website which shows Stan Rudgley's Directorships.

Thank you all for your input to the blog and messages. Keep visiting and keep commenting and I'll keep posting.

Burbage and Rudgley are still at it!

Isn't it about time Trading Standards and the Police pulled there fingers out and stop Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley by shutting them down for good and prosecute them. Unfortunately the car I bought from them started to have several problems so I had to cut my losses and sell it for almost scrap value. Below are some links to articles that have been in circulation since my last post some months ago. I see they are currently trading as OAKMOUNT CARS - Service 4 Life Ltd Trading As Oakmount Cars. Please DO NOT mistake these crooks for Oakmount Autos which has been operating for the last 12 years.

Police called as controversial dealers store cars in hotel grounds

Notorious car dealers Richard Burbage and Stan Rudgley resurface - in Sainsbury's car park in Fareham

Car dealers have picked the wrong fight

Rogue car dealer Richard Burbage threatens Daily Echo staff for investigation into his businesses

Also Service 4 Life has an Active Proposal to Strike off so I wonder how they will re-invent themselves next time. http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/service-4-life or who they will rope in to start a new Ltd company up for them.

Monday, 17 March 2014

So all is quiet in the western front? Or is it?

It appears cars are being sold yet again from Fort Wallington Car Sales or should I say Service 4 Life or may be now I should be saying The Elite Car Company. Trading under it's from the same address as Fort Wallington Car Sales under Service 4 Life Ltd it appears not a lot has changed apart from it's now not an open show room but appointment only. May be they don't want The Southern Daily Echo tourning up on their doorstep again.

Please be aware in case this is another scam, sorry company under a new name.

Here are a couple of links, two to Ebay and one to gumtree where the vehicles are being sold. It appears that currently cars are not being sold on autotrader but if anyone knows different?

Please share this to stop them in their tracks.

Along way from the crocodile tears a couple of months ago!

After all that's gone on I would be surprised at this. He must have spent some of his hard earned money on acting lessons to able to turn on the tears like he did.

Customer called police after alleged threats by controversial car dealer Richard Burbage

Police investigating car dealer "threats" claim

  • POLICE are investigating a customer’s allegation that he was threatened by a controversial car dealer yesterday after he demanded a refund.

Is Valley Cars of Southampton Service 4 Life Ltd????

So they're up to their old tricks again. C'mon trading standards and police it's about time these crooks were stopped. I'd like to know the number of people that have been ripped off by this pair. It looks as though Stan the man Rudgley is still on the payroll of Richard Burbage but I'm sure there are no pay slips on contributions on any monies. Richard Burbage is a common crook whose high life is funded by ripping others off. He, along with his wife and children oh and the dog must be doing really well for themselves.

I'd be interested to know if the Stan is still claiming benefits for himself, his partner and children? Would be just about right, he's ripping people off whilst claiming benefits from the state? I also wonder if Service 4 Life Ltd is the company behind Valley Cars or if a new company has been formed maybe with a new Director?

Lets hope the law and indeed trading standards throw the book at them and anyone who has knowingly worked and committed this crime with them. Although I would be surprised if they get off scot free and do similar again.

Here's the website where they have an email us section in case anyone wishes to contact them. http://www.valleycarssouthampton.co.uk/

Car dealers Stan Rudgley and Richard Burbage emerge again - in offices of lingerie shop
